Quick answer
MetroProxies IPs come from real home connections, so they are for legitimate work: checking public pages, prices, ads and your own sites from US cities. Fraud, account abuse, spam, attacks and unauthorized access are forbidden; banking, government and payment-portal sites and email ports are blocked. Breaches end accounts. Updated 18 October 2026.
What is MetroProxies for?
- Checking what public web pages show in a given US city, state or ZIP code: prices, stock, delivery options, local search and maps viewed by hand, store finders.
- Verifying your own ads and landing pages by market, and those you are hired to verify.
- Testing your own websites and apps from several US locations (geo-redirects, tax, content, consent banners).
- Collecting public data at a moderate rate, within each site's terms and robots.txt.
- Privacy for your own browsing on sites you are entitled to use.
What is forbidden?
- Fraud of any kind: payment or card fraud, account takeover, credential stuffing, identity theft, fake sign-ups, promotion or bonus abuse.
- Getting around a site's access controls, paywalls or limits, or reaching accounts and data you are not entitled to.
- Spam, phishing, malware, and any traffic meant to harm or overload a service (denial of service).
- Clicking ads or generating fake impressions, views, votes, reviews or engagement.
- Buying up limited goods or tickets with automated tools.
- Content or activity that is illegal where you are, where the target is or in the United States, including sexual content involving minors.
- Reselling or sharing access without our written agreement.
Which targets are blocked at the gateway?
Banking, government and payment-portal sites, plus SMTP (email-sending) ports 25, 465 and 587. The list may grow when a target owner asks us, or when a category is abused. A blocked request fails; it is not a fault of the service.
What do we expect from you?
Keep request rates modest, follow robots.txt and each site's terms, stop when a site refuses automated access and use its official API or feed instead, do not collect personal data you have no right to process, and keep your credentials and sub-users under your control. You are responsible for all traffic sent with your account.
How are reports and breaches handled?
Abuse reports are reviewed by a person, and confirmed abuse leads to suspension. Depending on the facts we may warn you, block a target for your account, suspend the account or close it. Traffic used for a breach is not credited back. We cooperate with lawful requests from authorities as described in the privacy policy.
How do I report abuse from one of your IPs?
Write to [email protected] with the IP address, the exact time with its time zone, the target hostname and what happened. Logs of the request (not screenshots only) help. We keep connection metadata for up to 30 days, so report within that time. See also the terms of service, the privacy policy, where our IPs come from and how to contact support.
