**Quick answer — What is MetroProxies?**

**MetroProxies is a US residential proxy provider with city-level targeting, paid in crypto with no ID upload.** As of October 2026, US residential traffic costs $1.50 for 1 GB and drops to $0.50/GB from 100 GB, with no surcharge for city, state, ZIP or ASN targeting. City availability varies; the checkout shows what is online.

## What does the city coverage add up to?

- **181** US cities with a page (every city with 150,000+ residents, Census 2024)
- **42** states and D.C. (41 states plus Washington, D.C.)
- **$0.50/GB** from 100 GB (no city surcharge, October 2026)
- **30 min** sticky sessions (the IP can change earlier)

## Which US cities can I target?

Every US city with at least 150,000 residents has a page: population, county, metro area, time zone, area codes, ZIP areas, home internet providers from the FCC map, sales tax and the state privacy law, plus the exact username segment. Smaller towns work through the same `city-` segment when IPs are online there. The full A–Z list is on the [cities page](https://metroproxies.com/cities/).

- [New York City, NY](https://metroproxies.com/cities/new-york-city-ny/) — 8,478,072
- [Los Angeles, CA](https://metroproxies.com/cities/los-angeles-ca/) — 3,878,704

## How does city targeting work?

1. **Choose a plan** — From 1 GB ($1.50) to 1 TB. Every plan includes city, state, ZIP and ASN targeting.
2. **Top up its price in crypto** — The checkout asks for the plan price in BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC (at least $25). No ID: your account number is your login.
3. **Write the city into the username** — USERNAME-country-us-state-tx-city-austin asks the gateway gw.metroproxies.com for an Austin home IP.
4. **Check the exit** — Look the IP up in the geolocation database your target uses before you run the job. See how to verify a proxy's city.

## How much do US city proxies cost?

One price list for all 181 cities, as of October 2026. A Houston gigabyte costs the same as a Boise gigabyte, and targeting never adds a fee.

| Plan | Quantity | Price | Price per unit |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Test | 1 GB | $1.50 | $1.50/GB |
| Local | 10 GB | $5.94 | $0.59/GB |
| National | 100 GB | $50 | $0.50/GB |
| Terabyte | 1 TB | $500 | $0.50/GB |

In every plan: City, state, ZIP and ASN targeting · Rotating or sticky sessions up to 30 minutes · HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5 · Sub-users with their own traffic cap · Traffic that never expires

**Before you pay**

- You top up the price of your plan. The checkout asks for the plan price (less your balance), at least $25; anything left stays on your balance.
- Unused balance stays on your account and never expires. When a purchase costs less than the minimum top-up, the part added only to reach the minimum is refundable on request to support within 30 days of the payment, in USDT or USDC, as long as it has not been spent. The rest of the balance is not paid back, except where the law requires it.
- Credited once your payment is checked on the blockchain. Typical network confirmation time: BTC ≈ 20 min · USDT TRC-20 ≈ 1 min · USDT ERC-20 ≈ 5 min · USDC ERC-20 ≈ 5 min · ETH ≈ 5 min · SOL ≈ 1 min · LTC ≈ 15 min

## What do I get without uploading ID?

- **A public usage policy** — Blocked: Banking, government and payment-portal sites, plus SMTP (email-sending) ports 25, 465 and 587. Abuse reports are read by a person. See the acceptable use policy.
- **Clear data rules** — No request content or full URLs logged; connection metadata kept up to 30 days. Details on the privacy page.
- **Known IP origin** — We resell residential and mobile IPs from established upstream partner networks. Our upstream provider confirms that device owners opt in and can opt out, and that its supply does not come from seized or disrupted networks such as NetNut or IPIDEA. More on where our IPs come from.
- **Human support** — Email replies within 12 hours, 7 days a week, at support@metroproxies.com.

## What should I know before I buy?

### Can I choose an exact US city?

Yes. Add `state-xx-city-name` to your username, for example `USERNAME-country-us-state-wa-city-seattle`. City names are lower case with underscores for spaces (`city-san_antonio`). City availability varies; the checkout shows what is online. If no IP is online in a small city, widen to the state.

### Does city targeting cost more?

No. City, state, ZIP code and ASN targeting are included in every MetroProxies plan, from $1.50 for 1 GB. On 18 October 2026, DataImpulse's documentation said city-targeted traffic is billed at double its standard rate, and SOAX reserved ZIP and ASN targeting for plans from $1,500 a month. See [what city targeting costs](https://metroproxies.com/compare/city-targeting-cost/).

### How precise is a city IP?

As precise as the geolocation database a website uses. Databases place one residential IP differently, so an IP we route as Fort Worth can show as Dallas in one database and Fort Worth in another. Test the target page itself, then compare a city request with a ZIP request. The [IP geolocation guide](https://metroproxies.com/guides/ip-geolocation-accuracy/) explains why.

### Who is behind MetroProxies?

ProxyGoat LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (USA). The team has been in the proxy business since 2019. Support answers by email (Email replies within 12 hours, 7 days a week). There is no phone line and no chat.

### What can I not use it for?

Anything illegal or against a site's rules, plus these blocked targets: Banking, government and payment-portal sites, plus SMTP (email-sending) ports 25, 465 and 587. Typical uses are local search and ad checks, price checks on public pages, and geo-testing your own site or app from several US cities.

We keep your account number, orders, top-up records and traffic totals while your account is open, and afterwards only as long as accounting rules require. We disclose records to authorities only when the law requires it. Our upstream network provider may keep its own logs under its own policy |
